Yeo scores in OT as Toronto Marlies down Sweden's Farjestad in exhibition game

TORONTO - Dylan Yeo scored 27 seconds into overtime Saturday as the Toronto Marlies picked up a 4-3 exhibition victory over Swedish club Farjestad.

Yeo also added two assists for the Marlies, who sit tops in the American Hockey League's North Division this season with a record of 28-16-4.

Greg McKegg scored twice in regulation for Toronto, while Brandon Kozun had the other goal. Jerry D'Amigo had three assists.

Garret Sparks made 17 saves to get the win.

Milan Gulas and Jack Connolly each had a goal and an assist for Farjestad, while Niklas Arell also scored. Ville Lajunen chipped in with two assists.

Pekka Tuokkola allowed two goals on 16 shots before being replaced by Frederik Pettersson-Wentzel midway through the second period. He finished with 14 saves of his own.

Farjestad led 2-1 after the first period before McKegg tied the score with his second of the afternoon at 5:08 of the second.

Kozun gave Toronto a 3-2 lead at 17:13, but Gulas tied it on the power play with 19 seconds left in the period.

The crowd of 4,425 at Ricoh Coliseum then watched a scoreless third before Yeo won it in the extra period.
