NEWARK, N.J. -- New Jersey Devils forward Jaromir Jagr tied Mario Lemieux with his 1,033rd NHL assist, his second Friday against the Washington Capitals at Prudential Center.
Jagr had a first-period assist on Stephen Gionta's goal before aiding Henrique on a power-play goal at 1:45 of the second.
Jagr, who has 697 goals, 1,033 assists and 1,730 points, tied Lemieux, a former Pittsburgh Penguins teammate, for 10th on the all-time list.
Jagr has 16 goals, 26 assists and a Devils-leading 42 points in 52 games this season.
