The Calgary Flames have signed center Matt Stajan to a four-year, $12.5 million contract extension, the team announced Monday night.

Stajan, 30, has 116 goals, 212 assists and 372 penalty minutes in his 693-game career. He is in his fifth season in Calgary after the Flames acquired him from the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2010.

The Mississauga, Ontario, native has seven goals and 10 assists this season. He won the Flames' Ralph T. Scurfield Humanitarian Award in 2013.

Stajan was drafted by the Maple Leafs in the second round (No. 57) at the 2002 NHL Draft.
