"I feel like a hockey player right now because when I wake up, my legs are sore, not just my head," Visnovsky, who wore a yellow, no-contact jersey, told the Islanders' official website. "My body feels like it did before and it's a great feeling. I am happy to skate with the guys."
Visnovsky returned to the ice this past week to skate on his own and passed his most recent neurological exam. Islanders coach Jack Capuano put no timetable on his return.
"It was a good day for a lot of reasons," Capuano said. "Obviously having Lubo back out there is a breath of fresh air for him. It's been a long road for him and he's worked extremely hard to get back out there. We'll continue to skate him and see how his progress goes."
Visnovsky has three points in eight games, including a power-play goal, while averaging 20:01 of ice time.
