Jets fall below .500 again and struggle to find answers to inconsistency

WINNIPEG - Winnipeg coach Claude Noel says being inconsistent is one of the things the Jets do consistently.

They followed up three straight wins after Christmas with three straight losses, culminating in a 6-5 heartbreaker to the Penguins in Pittsburgh Sunday as Winnipeg fell to 19-21-5.

But Noel says he see signs the Jets can start turning things around as they prepare for a visit by the Tampa Bay Lightning Tuesday.

Forward Evander Kane says more talent isn't the answer.

He says the Jets have to find a way to consistently play together in a way that makes them successful.

Olli Jokinen agrees talent isn't the issue and points to the junior team from his native Finland, that might not be the most talented but won a gold medal in Sweden by making sure everyone played their best game.
