Ristolainen scores in overtime, Finalnd beats Sweden 3-2 in world junior final

MALMO, Sweden - Rasmus Ristolainen scored 9:42 into over time as Finland stunned host Sweden 3-2 Sunday to win the 2014 world junior hockey championship.

Finland lost twice in the preliminary round, including a 4-2 setback against Sweden, but turned it on in the playoffs and beat Canada 5-1 in the semifinals before edging its Scandinavian rival in the final.

Jusse Saros was excellent in goal for the Finns, making 35 saves. Saros is eligible for next year's tournament in Toronto and Montreal.

Esa Lindell, who scored 28 second into the game, and Saku Maenalanen had regulation goals for Finland.

Lucas Wallmark and Christian Djoos scored for Sweden, while Oscar Dansk stopped 28 shots.
