TORONTO - Vladislav Namestnikov scored twice and Brett Connolly chipped in with a goal and two assists as the Syracuse Crunch doubled up the Toronto Marlies 6-3 in American Hockey League action Friday night.

Trailing 2-0 in the second period, Syracuse (14-14-4) battled back to score five unanswered taking a 5-2 lead.

Carter Ashton scored shorthanded at 14:24 of the first and Andrew Crescenzi at 5:03 of the second period giving Toronto (18-11-3) a 2-0 lead.

In addition to the Namestnikov and Tyrell goals, the Crunch got singles from Dana Tyrell, Cedric Paquette and Pierre-Cedric Labrie.

The win helps Syracuse avoid its third straight loss. It was the Crunch's third win in 11 games.

Mike Duco had the other goal for the Marlies, who saw their two-game win streak snapped.

Kristers Gudlevskis made 32 saves for his seventh win of the season while Toronto's Drew MacIntyre stopped 29 shots.

Considering the two teams had not played since March of last season, the first period was a heated affair with two separate fights before the midway mark.
