Pittsburgh Penguins center Evgeni Malkin will not travel with the team for a game Saturday at the Boston Bruins (7 p.m. ET, NHLN-US).

It will be the second straight game Malkin has missed due to a lower-body injury. He sat out the Penguins' game Thursday against the San Jose Sharks.

Malkin is in the midst of a nine-game point streak that has brought him to second in the NHL in scoring with 37 points in 29 games, four points behind teammate Sidney Crosby.
