Lightning recall forward Brett Connolly

The Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday recalled forward Brett Connolly from the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League.

Connolly, 21, was scoreless with two penalty minutes in one game with the Lightning this season and had one assist in six games with the Crunch. His four goals in five games for the Lightning during the preseason tied for the team lead.

Connolly, the sixth player taken in the 2010 NHL Draft, scored one goal in five games with Tampa Bay last season; he has five goals and 16 points with 30 penalty minutes in 74 career NHL games.
