Tampa Bay Lightning captain Martin St. Louis was not on the ice for practice Wednesday and is day-to-day with a lower-body injury. His status for the game Thursday against the Minnesota Wild is uncertain.

"From all indications it's nothing that is alarmingly serious," Lightning coach Jon Cooper told reporters. "We'll have to wait for the doctors to give us a report."

St. Louis took a shot by Los Angeles Kings defenseman Drew Doughty off his foot in a 5-1 win by the Lightning on Tuesday. He scored twice and finished with three points on the night. In the process, he passed 900 career points as a member of the Lightning, the first player in franchise history to do so. His 10 points this season are second in the NHL in scoring to the Pittsburgh Penguins' Sidney Crosby.

Valtteri Filppula took St. Louis' spot on the Lightning's first power-play unit during practice.
