McNabb's big night helps Buffalo Sabres beat Carolina Hurricanes 5-2 in preseason game

BUFFALO, N.Y. - Brayden McNabb had two goals and an assist to lead the Buffalo Sabres to a 5-2 preseason victory over the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday night.

Johan Larsson had a goal and an assist for the Sabres, who improved to 3-0 in exhibition play.

Buffalo scored the last four goals. McNabb's left point shot was deflected by Larsson past Carolina goaltender Anton Khudobin at the 18:36 mark of the second, tying it at 2, and Cody Hodgson scored off a Thomas Vanek pass to give Buffalo a 3-2 lead in the third.

Zach Boychuk and Chris Terry scored for Carolina (0-2). Radek Dvorak had two assists, and Khudobin made 24 saves.

Buffalo goaltender Ryan Miller stopped 34 shots.
