Predators sign Clune to two-year extension

The Nashville Predators on Wednesday announced the signing of 26-year-old forward Rich Clune to a two-year, $1.7 million contract extension. The deal covers the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons.

Clune had four goals, nine points, and 113 penalty minutes in 47 games with the Predators last season.

Originally selected by the Dallas Stars in the third round (No. 71) of the 2005 NHL Draft, the 5-foot-10, 207-pound forward has 11 points and 139 penalty minutes in 61 career NHL games with Nashville and the Los Angeles Kings. The Predators claimed Clune from the Kings on waivers on Jan. 15, 2013.
