Jets agree to terms with Grant Clitsome

The Winnipeg Jets agreed to terms with defenseman Grant Clitsome on a three-year contract, the team announced Tuesday. No financial terms were disclosed.

Clitsome would have become an unrestricted free agent on Friday.

"Really happy to be returning to Winnipeg for three more years!" Clitsome said on his Twitter account.

The 28-year-old defenseman scored four goals and finished with 16 points in 44 games during the 2012-13 season. The Jets acquired him from the Columbus Blue Jackets in March 2012. He has 13 goals and 55 points in 149 regular-season NHL games.
