'Small play' leads to Sens' win in 2OT thriller

Visa presents "Small Plays" which looks at the little things during a game that turn into big results. Here is a recent example from Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Ottawa Senators.

Pageau keeps the puck alive for Greening's 2OT-winner: The Senators won the first double-overtime game of the 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs Sunday night, edging the Penguins 2-1 when Colin Greening banged home a rebound to give Ottawa its first win of the series. That thrilling moment wouldn't have happened however if it weren't for Jean-Gabriel Pageau. He may have only nine regular season NHL games under his belt, but Pageau looked like a seasoned veteran as he fought to keep possession of the puck behind the Pittsburgh net. Pageau did what he could to create a chance, eventually setting up Greening's game-winner. While Greening was credited with the goal on the scoresheet, it was Pageau's competitiveness that kept the play alive and eventually led to Ottawa cutting Pittsburgh's lead in half in their best-of-7 series.
