The Buffalo Sabres on Monday announced the club had signed forward John Scott to a one-year contract extension. Scott could have become an unrestricted free agent this summer.
In 34 games with the Sabres last season, Scott had a minus-1 rating and 69 penalty minutes.
In five NHL seasons, the 30-year-old forward has one goal, four assists and 305 penalty minutes in 180 games with the Minnesota Wild, Chicago Blackhawks, New York Rangers and Sabres.
