BARRIE, Ont. - Brendan Lemieux scored 5:26 into overtime as the Barrie Colts edged the Belleville Bulls 4-3 on Wednesday, to take a 3-1 lead in the OHL Eastern Conference final.
Lemieux got the puck in the high slot, turned around, and fired through a screen to beat goaltender Malcolm Subban for his first playoff goal, and give the Colts their second straight overtime victory.
Hooey opened the scoring for the Bulls, and the Colts came back with first period goals from Scheifele and Ekblad.
Gaunce tied it for Belleville in the second period and the teams traded goals in the third, with Hall putting Barrie up 3-2 just 52 seconds into the period, and Quine tying it for the Bulls at 5:35.
The Colts were 1 for 4 with the man advantage, while the Bulls were 0 for 2.
Barrie's Mathias Niederberger made 25 saves, while Subban turned aside 38 shots.
Belleville hosts Game 5 on Friday.
