Toronto Maple Leafs forward Joffrey Lupul left their game against the Philadelphia Flyers in the first period with an upper-body injury and did not return.

Coach Randy Carlyle said after the 5-3 loss that Lupul was "feeling fine" that there's a 50-50 chance he will be able to practice on Friday.

Lupul was sandwiched between a pair of Flyers while retrieving the puck in his zone. Philadelphia forwards Adam Hall and Jay Rosehill combined on the collision. Lupul was slow to get back on his feet, but skated shakily to the bench. The team's medical staff evaluated him briefly before taking him to the dressing room.

Before leaving, Lupul had registered an assist, giving him eight goals and 14 points in 10 games.
