Storm beat Rangers 3-2 to cut Kitchener's lead in OHL series to 2-1

GUELPH, Ont. - Scott Kosmachuk scored a tiebreaking goal with under two minutes left to play as the Guelph Storm edged the Rangers 3-2 on Tuesday to cut Kitchener's lead in the best-of-seven OHL opening-round series to 2-1.

The Rangers took a 2-0 lead after a first-period goal by Ben Thomson and Radek Faksa's goal at 8:56 of the third period.

But the Storm rallied in the third with two straight goals by Andrey Pedan before Kosmachuk's go-ahead marker at 18:11.

Garrett Sparks made 33 saves for Guelph, while John Gibson stopped 40 shots at the other end.

Game 4 is Thursday in Guelph.
