Derek Nesbitt scores late, again in SO as Peoria defeats Toronto 3-2

PEORIA, Ill. - Derek Nesbitt scored in the shootout and in regulation as the Peoria Rivermen beat the Toronto Marlies 3-2 in American Hockey League action Sunday.

T.J. Hensick also scored in the shootout, and Adam Cracknell added another goal in the third for Peoria (30-29-7).

Nesbitt forced extra time with a goal on Marlies goaltender Drew MacIntyre in the final minute of the third.

Kenny Ryan, with a short-handed goal, and Jerry D'Amigo replied for Toronto (36-20-8).

Mike McKenna made 36 saves in net for the Rivermen, while MacIntyre finished with 32 stops.
