Lorentz and Heard with a goal and assist each as Whalers take 2-0 series lead

PLYMOUTH, Mich. - Zach Lorentz and Mitchell Heard each had a goal and an assist as the Plymouth Whalers edged the visiting Sarnia Sting 3-2 on Saturday in Ontario Hockey League playoff action.

Tom Wilson also scored and now has two goals and five points in the series as the Whalers hold a two games to zero lead.

Reid Boucher and Nickolas Latta supplied the offence for the Sting.

Alex Nedeljkovic stopped 25-of-27 shots for the win as JP Anderson made 33 saves in defeat.

Plymouth failed to score on four chances with the man advantage while Sarnia went 2 for 10 on the power play.

Game 3 is scheduled to take place on Monday Mar. 26th when the Sting host the Whalers at the RBC Centre.
