EDMONTON - Curtis Lazar had a goal and an assist and Tristan Jarry stopped 27 shots as the Edmonton Oil Kings downed the visiting Red Deer Rebels 5-1 on Saturday in Western Hockey League play.
Trevor Cheek, Mitchell Moroz, Edgars Kulda and Cole Benson also scored for the Oil Kings (51-15-6), who have won eight of their last nine games.
Tyson Ness scored for the Rebels (39-26-7), who are winless in three games, and Bolton Pouliot turned away 37 shots in defeat.
Edmonton went 2 for 3 on the power play while Red Deer failed to score on five chances with the man advantage.
