Draisaitl scores winner as Raiders end winless streak

PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. - Leon Draisaitl scored 2:47 into overtime as the Prince Albert Raiders edged the visiting Saskatoon Blades 6-5 on Friday in Western Hockey League action.

Chance Braid had a goal and three assists for the Raiders (36-28-7), who halted a six-game winless streak, while Anthony Bardaro scored twice and added an assist.

Mark McNeill and Davis Vandane had a goal and an assist each to round out Prince Albert's offence.

Nathan Burns scored twice for the Blades (44-22-5), who lost for the first time in four outings, and Collin Valcourt, Darren Dietz and Dalton Thrower had the others.

Luke Siemens stopped 30 shots for the win as Andrey Makarov made 31 saves in defeat.

Prince Albert went 0 for 3 on the power play while Saskatoon went 2 for 2.
