Gavrus scores twice as the Attack edge the Sting

SARNIA, Ont. - Artur Gavrus scored twice, including the winner 2:01 into the third period, as the Owen Sound Attack edged the host Sarnia Sting 4-3 on Friday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Steven Janes and Brayden Rose also scored for the Attack (43-18-6), who have won eight of their last 11 contests, while Chris Bigras chipped in with two assists.

Davis Brown, Bryan Moore and Nickolas Latta score for the Sting (35-27-5), who are winless in three outings.

Brandon Hope made 23 saves for the win as JP Anderson turned away 27-of-31 shots in defeat.

Owen Sound went 2 for 3 on the power play while Sarnia failed to score on four chances with the man advantage.
