Boston Bruins forward Chris Kelly has a broken left tibia and is out indefinitely, general manager Peter Chiarelli said in a statement Wednesday.

Kelly was injured during the second period Monday night in a game against the Ottawa Senators on a hit by Chris Neil. Kelly has two goals and six points in 23 games for the Bruins this season, and has been a consistent regular on the team's third line since arriving before the trade deadline in 2011.

Boston has not added anyone to the roster since the injury. The Bruins moved Jay Pandolfo into the lineup Tuesday night against the Pittsburgh Penguins and shifted Rich Peverley from the wing to center to replace Kelly on a line with Pandolfo and Jordan Caron.
