Mark Scheifele's five-point game lifted the Barrie Colts to a 6-5 victory over the host Niagara IceDogs in Ontario Hockey League action Sunday afternoon.
Scheifele's third goal of the game, and second on the power play, with 3:38 left in the third period proved to be the game-winner.
Scheifele has scored 16 goals in 13 games since being returned to junior by the Jets and 38 in 43 games overall.
Strome's goal was the 100th of his career with Niagara and Ritchie's was his 40th of the season.
Strome left the game in the third period with what appeared to be a foot injury after blocking a shot.
Alex Fotinos picked up the win in goal making 19 saves. Chris Festarini turned aside 24 shots in the loss.
Barrie went 2 for 6 on the power play while Niagara scored once on four chances with the man advantage.

At St. Catharines, Ont., Scheifele opened the scoring 7:10 into the first period before Ritchie responded four minutes later for the IceDogs.
Bradford made it 2-1 at 14:45 and Hall extended Barrie's lead to two goals just 49 seconds into the second period.
Lemmon and Strome scored three minutes apart to tie the game, however Camara scored at 14:09 to give the Colts their third lead of the game.
Lemmon responded for Niagara in the final minute of the second and Verhaeghe gave the IceDogs their first lead at 8:53 of the third period, but the lead lasted less than two minutes as Scheifele tied the game at 10:35.

At Kingston, Ont., Ryan Kujawinski assisted on two third-period goals, including Warren Steele's winner, as the Frontenacs (26-33-5) jumped Mississauga (25-33-7) for seventh in the Eastern Conference.

At Kitchener, Ont., Brandon Alderson scored two goals and set up one more and Jared McCann and Colin Miller each had a goal and two assists as Sault Ste. Marie (35-24-6) erased a 3-1 third-period deficit against the Rangers (37-19-9).

At Plymouth, Mich., Garrett Meurs scored three times and set up one more and Sebastian Uvira and Mitchell Heard each had a goal and an assist as the Whalers (39-17-9) downed Saginaw (31-28-6) to extend their win streak to five games.

At Peterborough, Ont., seven different players scored for the Petes (24-34-7) and Nelson Armstrong had four assists as they crushed Ottawa (16-43-5) to move within two points of Mississauga for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

At Sarnia., Ont., Garret Sparks turned away 33-of-35 shots and Cody McNaughton had a goal and an assist as Guelph (38-22-5) doubled up the Sting (35-26-4), who lost in regulation for the first time in four contests.

At Windsor, Ont., Alexander Khokhlachev had three goals and two assists and Jaroslav Pavelka stopped 44 shots as the Spitfires (26-31-8) crushed London (47-13-5) to even the season-series at three games apiece.
