SASKATOON - Brenden Walker scored twice, including the winner, and added two assists as the Saskatoon Blades edged the visiting Regina Pats 8-7 in overtime on Saturday in Western Hockey League action.
Collin Valcourt had two goals and an assist for the Blades (43-22-4) while Josh Nicholls and Matt Revel had a goal and an assist apiece.
Gay's goal was the first of his WHL career in 33 games played.
Andrey Makarov started in goal for Saskatoon, but was pulled after allowing three goals on six shots in six minutes of action. Alex Moodie replaced Makarov and earned the win after stopping 19-of-23 shots in relief. Teagan Sacher picked up the loss after giving up all eight goals on 40 shots.
Saskatoon went 1 for 4 on the power play while Regina failed to score on two chances with the man advantage.
