St. Croix has three goals and an assist as Oil Kings rally to beat Pats 6-3

REGINA - Michael St. Croix had three goals and an assist, and the Edmonton Oil Kings scored four unanswered goal in the third period, in a 6-3 come-from-behind win over the Regina Pats 6-3 Wednesday in WHL play.

St. Croix’s three goals puts him one ahead of Curtis Lazar for the team lead with 36.

Dylan Wruck, T.J. Foster and Cody Corbett also scored for Edmonton (47-15-5).

Lane Scheidl, Kyle Burroughs and Braden Christoffer scored for Regina (24-36-7), which led 3-2 after two periods despite being out shot 25-9.

Scheidl opened the scoring for the Pats with a power play goal at 7:45 of the first period. St. Croix tied it with his first of the game, and Edmonton took a short-lived lead on Wruck's 21st of the season at 17:24. Christoffer tied it for the Pats 26 seconds later.

Burroughs made it 3-2 Regina early in the second period, and St. Croix tied it with the first of the Oil Kings' four goals in the third period at the 1:04 mark. Corbett's power play goal made it 4-3 Oil Kings, St. Croix followed with his third of the game, and Foster closed the scoring at 11:39.

Laurent Brossoit stopped 11 shots for Edmonton, and Matt Hewitt made 32 saves for Regina.

The Oil Kings were one for three on the power play and Regina was one for four.
