Skapski stops 35 shots as the Ice double up the Tigers

CRANBROOK, B.C. - Mackenzie Skapski stopped 35-of-37 shots as the Kootenay Ice doubled up the visiting Medicine Hat Tigers 4-2 on Saturday in Western Hockey League play.

Sam Reinhart, Luke Philp, Levi Cable and Tanner Faith scored for the Ice (33-30-2) while Cable tacked on an assist for a two-point outing.

Miles Koules had a goal and an assist for the Tigers (33-30-3), who have dropped back-to-back contests, and Boston Leier had the other.

Cam Lanigan made 23 saves in a losing cause.

Kootenay went 0 for 2 on the power play while Medicine Hat scored once on three chances with the man advantage.
