Laurikainen makes 36 saves as the broncos down the Hitmen

CALGARY - Eetu Laurikainen stopped 36-of-37 shots as the Swift Current Broncos defeated the host Calgary Hitmen 3-1 on Friday in Western Hockey League play.

Adam Lowry, Coda Gordon and Graham Black scored for the Broncos (31-27-7), who have won three games in a row, while Dillon Heatherington chipped in with two assists.

Victor Rask scored the lone goal for the Hitmen (40-19-5), who are winless in three games, and Chris Driedger gave up three goals on 20 shots in defeat.

Swift Current went 1 for 2 on the power play while Calgary failed to score on five chances with the man advantage.
