KINGSTON, Ont. - Oshawa captain Boone Jenner scored two goals to lead the Generals to a 4-1 victory over the Kingston Frontenacs in Ontario Hockey League action Wednesday.

Jenner opened the scoring at the 4:04 mark of the first period when he received a nice pass from Michael Dal Colle in the slot and beat Frontenacs goalie Mike Morrison for his 38th goal of the season. Rookie Bradley Latour made it 2-0 Oshawa (36-21-4) with his 10th goal of the season just 40 seconds into the second period.

The Generals had a lengthy 5-on-3 power play mid-way through the second, but Morrison shut the door on Oshawa.

Billy Jenkins got the Frontenacs (24-30-5) within one when he banged home a rebound that Generals goaltender Ken Appleby couldn't handle at 14:12 of the third period.

Jenner wasn't about to let the momentum change, however, when he picked up a rebound in the slot and beat Morrison for his second of the game to make it 3-1.

The Frontenacs had a great chance to get back into the game when Generals defenceman Matt Petgrave picked up a four-minute penalty, two for holding and two for unsportsmanlike with under four minutes left, but Appleby held the fort, and Geoffrey Schemitsch scored into the empty net to seal the win for Oshawa.

Appleby finished with 28 saves for the Generals, and Morrison made 31 stops for the Frontenacs.

Oshawa was 0 for 2 on the power play, and Kingston came up empty on seven chances with the man advantage.
