Graovac, Zharkov two goals each as the Bulls extend win streak to eight games

BELLEVILLE, Ont. - Tyler Graovac and Daniil Zharkov each scored twice for the Belleville Bulls as they beat the visiting Peterborough Petes by a 5-2 score Saturday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Joseph Cramarossa had a goal and two assists for the Bulls (37-14-6), who extended their win streak to eight games, and Brendan Gaunce chipped in with two assists.

Stephen Pierog scored both goals for the Petes (21-31-7).

Malcolm Subban made 36 saves for the win as Andrew D'Agostini stopped 30 shots in defeat.

Peterborough opened the scoring when Pierog was left alone in front of the Belleville net at 12:03 of the second period.

The Bulls answered back on the power play, starting with Graovac while Belleville was on a 5-on-3 advantage. Still up a man, Zharkov but the Bulls ahead in the final minute of the period.

Belleville carried the momentum in to the third period with Graovac and Zharkov both scoring again.

Pierog answered for the Petes to cut the lead to two, however Cramarossa added another power-play goal for the Bulls.

Belleville went 3 for 5 with the man advantage while Peterborough failed to score on two power-play chances.
