Shaw scores twice as the Spirit double up the Rangers

KITCHENER, Ont. - Jason Shaw scored twice and Gregg Sutch had three assists as the Saginaw Spirit doubled up the host Kitchener Rangers 6-3 on Friday in Ontario Hockey League play.

Justin Kea, Dylan Sadowy, Nathan Glass and Terry Trafford also scored for the Spirit (29-23-6), who won their third game in a row.

Eric Ming, Josh Sterk and Matt Puempel scored for the Rangers (33-17-8).

Jake Paterson made 45 saves for the win as Jack Moylan picked up the loss after stopping 12-of-16 shots in 35 minutes of relief. Moylan replaced starter Joel Vienneau, who allowed two goals on nine shots.

Saginaw went 1 for 3 on the power play while Kitchener failed to score on six chances with the man advantage.
