Machovsky stops 35 shots as the Battalion down the Steelheads

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. - Matej Machovsky made 35 saves, including 18 in the third period, as the Brampton Battalion downed the host Mississauga Steelheads 3-1 in Ontario Hockey League action on Friday.

Rookie Mike Amadio scored a goal and an assist for the Battalion (28-21-9), who have won three games in a row, while Blake Clarke and Nick Foglia also scored.

Matt MacLeod and Zach Bell recorded two assists apiece for Brampton.

Riley Brace scored the lone goal for the Steelheads (25-28-5) as goaltender Tyson Teichmann finished with 24 saves in a losing cause.

Neither team took a penalty in the contest.
