BELLEVILLE, Ont. - A late start didn't seem to hurt Malcolm Subban and the Belleville Bulls on Monday as they blanked the Barrie Colts 3-0 in an OHL game delayed two hours because of an accident on Highway 401.
The Colts were late arriving in Belleville due to the traffic backup on the highway.
Subban made 29 saves to earn his third shutout of the season.
Mathias Niederberger was solid in net for Barrie, making 27 saves in the loss for the Colts (36-18-3).
With the win, Belleville leapfrogs Barrie for the top spot in the Eastern Conference.
Leading 1-0 in the third, Cramarossa scored on a penalty shot followed by Guance's short-handed marker into an empty net.
Gaunce's goal came at the end of a lengthy Belleville penalty kill that included Barrie having a 6-on-3 advantage with Niederberger on the bench.
Both teams were 0-for-5 on the power play.
