Laughton, Latour, Sabourin three points each as the Generals beat the Spirit

SAGINAW, Mich. - Scott Laughton scored three times and Bradley Latour chipped in with three assists as the Oshawa Generals downed the host Saginaw Spirit 6-4 on Friday in Ontario Hockey League play.

Scott Sabourin had a goal and two assists for the Generals (32-19-4), who have won three games in a row, and Boone Jenner had a goal and an assist.

Colin Suellentrop scored a single goal to round out Oshawa's offence.

Jimmy Lodge led the Spirit (26-23-6) with three goals and an assist while Erick Locke had a goal and two assists.

Daniel Althsuller made 16 saves for his league-best 30th victory of the season as Jake Paterson made 26 saves in a losing cause.

Oshawa went 1 for 6 on the power play while Saginaw scored three times on five chances with the man advantage.
