Paul Thompson's goal 1:19 into overtime gave the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins a 2-1 victory against the Hershey Bears in the 2013 AHL Outdoor Classic at Hersheypark Stadium.

Jayson Megna sprung Thompson for a breakaway, and Thompson fired the puck off the glove of goaltender Dany Sabourin and into the net for his team-leading 13th goal of the season and the win.

The game drew a sellout crowd of 17,311 fans. Temperatures were in the low 40s at game time, though a stiff wind made it feel much colder.

The game was scoreless until 15:40 of the second period, when Hershey's Jeff Taffe hit Tomas Kundratek in the high slot for a one-timer past Jeff Zatkoff.

Riley Holzapfel got the Penguins even with 12:13 remaining in regulation. Thompson flipped the puck from the near boards to an open area; Holzapfel caught up to it and beat Sabourin to the short side with a slap shot from the left circle.

Zatkoff stopped 24 of 25 shots for his 12th victory of the season. Sabourin made 18 stops for the Bears.
