Tanus, Findlay three points each as the Petes edge the IceDogs

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - Jonatan Tanus and Brett Findlay each had a goal and two assists as the Peterborough Petes edged the host Niagara IceDogs 5-4 on Saturday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Nick Czinder and Brandon Devlin had a goal and an assist apiece for the Petes (13-25-7) while Derek Mathers added a single goal.

Brendan Perlini and Carter Verhaeghe each scored two goals for the IceDogs (23-20-3), who are winless in four games.

Peterborough's Andrew D'Agostini stopped 40 shots for the win as Niagara's Christopher Festarini took the loss after turning away 24-of-26 shots in 46 minutes of action. Festarini replaced Brent Morin, who allowed three goals on 10 shots in just 13 minutes of game time.

Peterborough went 0 for 1 on the power play while Niagara scored once on five chances with the man advantage.
