Pedersen witht three points as the Rangers down the Sting

KITCHENER, Ont. - Brent Pedersen had two goals and an assist as the Kitchener Rangers beat the visiting Sarnia Sting 5-1 on Friday in Ontario Hockey League play.

Josh Sterk and Justin Bailey each had a goal and an assist for the Rangers (23-13-6) and Frank Corrado chipped in with two assists.

Evan McEneny added a single goal to round out Kitchener's offence while John Gibson stopped 29-of-30 shots for the victory.

Nickolas Latta scored the lone goal for the Sting (24-15-3) as Knickolas Dawe made 29 saves in a losing cause.

Kitchener went 0 for 5 on the power play while Sarnia failed to score on four chances with the man advantage.
