SAGINAW, Mich. - Garret Ross scored the winning goal with only 15 seconds remaining in regulation time as the Saginaw Spirit downed the visiting Guelph Storm 3-2 on Sunday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Terry Trafford and Jason Shaw also scored for the Spirit (17-19-5) while Eric Locke chipped in with two assists.

Zack Mitchell and Cody McNaughton scored for the Storm (21-13-5), who have dropped three games in a row.

Darien Ekblad stopped 28-of-30 shots for his first-career OHL win as Keegan Wilson made 21 saves in a losing cause.

With the Storm on the power play, Mitchell let go a wrist shot from the slot that beat Ekblad top shelf on the glove side to open the scoring at 9:14.

The Spirit got on the board just 1:30 later as Trafford scored from in front of Guelph's net, however McNaughton put the Storm back in front at 16:29 after taking a pass from Brock Beukeboom.

Saginaw tied the game, again, at 13:29 of the third period when Shaw scored his first goal as a member of the Spirit after finishing off a nice three-way passing play from Ross and Locke.

Saginaw went 1 for 4 on the power play while Guelph scored once on five chances with the man advantage.
