BRAMPTON, Ont. - Cody Ceci scored once in regulation time and again in the shootout as the Ottawa 67’s rallied from behind to edge the host Brampton Battalion 6-5 in Ontario Hockey League action on Sunday afternoon.

Sergey Kuptsov scored twice and added an assist for the 67's (12-27-3), who trailed by two goals three times in the game, and Sean Monahan had four assists.

Taylor Fielding and Michal Cajkovsky also scored for Ottawa, which won for the first time in three outings.

Mathew Santos and Nick Paul each had a goal and an assist for the Battalion (19-16-7), who are winless in three games, and Nicholas Foglia, Blake Clarke and Connor Jarvis had a goal apiece.

Clint Windsor was chased from the Ottawa net after surrendering three goals on 15 shots in 15 minutes of action. Jacob Blair took over and stopped 27-of-29 shots for the victory.

Jake Smith turned away 17 shots in a losing cause.

The Battalion jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the first period on goals from Santos and Foglia before Fielding curbed the deficit to one.

Jarvis restored Brampton’s two-goal lead before the first intermission.

The 67's tied the game at 3-3 early in the second period thanks to quick goals from Ceci and Kuptsov.

However, Brampton recovered and took a 5-3 lead into the second intermission on goals from Clarke and Paul.

After Cajkovsky made it 5-4 midway through the third, Ottawa sent the game to overtime in the final minute of regulation when Kuptsov redirected Ceci’s low point shot past Smith with Blair on the bench in favour of an extra attacker.

Ottawa went 1 for 2 on the power play while Brampton converted once on three opportunities with the man advantage.
