Ikonen scores winner, Morrison 43 saves as the Frontenacs beat the Greyhounds

KINGSTON, Ont. - Henri Ikonen scored the winning goal in the fourth round of the shootout as the Kingston Frontenacs edged the visiting Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds 4-3 on Sunday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Cody Alcock, Roland McKeown and Sam Povorozniouk scored in regulation time for the Frontenacs (20-17-2).

Ryan Sproul had a goal and an assist for the Greyhounds (20-18-3), who have dropped back-to-back contests, and Tyler Gaudet and Trent Mallette scored a goal apiece.

Mike Morrison stopped 43-of-46 shots for the win as Justin Nichols made 20 saves in a losing cause.

Kingston went 1 for 7 on the power play while Sault Ste. Marie scored once on eight chances with the man advantage.
