PLYMOUTH, Mich. - Connor Carrick scored 2:29 into overtime as the Plymouth Whalers came from behind to beat the visiting Guelph Storm 3-2 on Saturday in Ontario Hockey League action.
Mitchell Heard scored his first goal for the Whalers (19-12-8) since being reassigned by the Colorado Avalanche this past week and Garrett Meurs had the other.
Justin Auger and Patrick Watling gave the Storm (21-12-5) a 2-0 lead early in the first period before Plymouth found its offence.
Alex Nedeljkovic made 25 saves for the win as Keegan Wilson stopped 26 shots in defeat.
Plymouth went 1 for 2 on the power play while Guelph failed to score on three chances with the man advantage.
