Bulls' top line combines for 12 points in win over Greyhounds

BELLEVILLE, Ont. - Belleville's top line of Brendan Gaunce, Tyler Graovac and Austen Brassard combined for four goals and 12 points on Saturday as the Bulls beat the visiting Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds 6-2 in Ontario Hockey League action.

Gaunce had two goals and two assists for the Bulls (22-12-5), who won for the first time in three outings, while Graovac and Brassard had a goal and three assists each.

Aaron Berisha and Jake Worrad also scored to round out Belleville's offence.

Nick Cousins and Ryan Sproul scored for the Greyhounds (20-18-2).

After Sault Ste. Marie opened up a 2-0 lead in the first period, Belleville took over the rest of the game.

Berisha's goal put the Bulls on the board in the dying seconds of the first and Belleville rode the momentum into the second period.

Gaunce, Brassard and Worrad all scored within a 3:21 stretch less than seven minutes into the period and Gaunce added his second of the night at 15:44 to make it 5-2 Bulls after 40 minutes of play.

Graovac scored at 4:21 of the third period to extend Belleville's lead to four goals.

Charlie Graham made 30 saves to earn the victory while Matt Murray took the loss after allowing five goals on 21 shots through 40 minutes of action. Back-up goaltender Justin Nichols came in for the third period and stopped 5-of-6 shots in relief.

Belleville went 1 for 3 on the power play while Sault Ste. Marie failed to score on five chances with the man advantage.
