Skapski stops 26 shots as the Ice extend win streak to four games

CRANBROOK, B.C. - Mackenzie Skapski stopped 26 shots as the Kootenay Ice downed the visiting Swift Current Broncos 4-1 on Friday in Western Hockey League play.

Erik Benoit, Sam Reinhart and Jaedon Descheneau each had a goal and an assist for the Ice (14-24-1), who have won four games in a row, while Brock Montgomery added a single goal.

Tanner LeSann scored the lone goal for the Broncos (17-20-5), who are winless in three outings, and Steven Myland made 16 saves in a losing cause.

Kootenay went 1 for 3 on the power play while Swift Current failed to score on three chances with the man advantage.
