Kujawinski scores hat trick to help Frontenacs to 7-5 win over 67's

OTTAWA - The Kingston Frontenacs scored four unanswered goals in the third period for a 7-5 comeback win over the Ottawa 67's on Monday.

Ryan Kujawinski had a hat trick and an assist to help the Frontenacs (18-16-2) end a three-game winless streak. Henri Ikonen scored the game-winning goal on the power play with five minutes left in the third period.

It was his second goal of the game. Mikko Vainonen and Luke Hietkamp — into an empty net — had the other Kingston goals.

Cody Ceci, Trevor Dulong, Mike Vlajkov, Steven Janes and Sean Monahan scored for the 67's (10-24-3), who had a 5-3 lead with 11 minutes left to play.

Mike Morrison made 34 saves for Kingston while Jacob Blair stopped 33 shots for Ottawa.

The 67’s had seven power-play opportunities but were only successful on one of them. The Frontenacs went 2-for-4 with the man advantage.
