Laughton with three points as the Generals beat the Steelheads 4-3

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. - Scott Laughton scored a goal and added two assists to lead the Oshawa Generals to a 4-3 victory over the host Mississauga Steelheads on Friday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Scott Sabourin and Joe Manchurek each recorded a goal and an assist while Brian Hughes rounded out the scoring for the Generals (21-12-3), who are winners of four straight.

Spenser Cobbold and Brett Foy each had a goal and an assist while Riley Brace also scored for the Steelheads (18-13-3), who trailed 4-0 midway through the second before scoring three unanswered goals.

Oshawa's Daniel Altshuller made 31 saves while Mississauga's Tyson Teichmann stopped 18 shots in relief of Spencer Martin, who was replaced after allowing two goals on the first four shots.

The Generals finished 1 for 5 on the power play while the Steelheads went 1 for 7 with the man advantage.
