Clarke scores twice as the Battalion edge the Sting

SARNIA, Ont. - Blake Clarke scored twice, including the eventual winner, as the Brampton Battalion edged the host Sarnia Sting 3-2 on Friday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Both of Clarke's goals came late in the second period and his second at 18:32 gave Brampton a 3-1 lead heading into the final period.

Mike Amadio also scored for the Battalion (18-14-5), who have won back-to-back outings, while Nicholas Foglia picked up two assists.

Charles Sarault and Reid Boucher each had a goal and an assist for the Sting (20-12-3), who lost in regulation time for the first time in 10 games.

Jake Smith made 24 saves for the win as JP Anderson stopped 32 shots in a losing cause.

Brampton went 0 for 2 on the power play while Sarnia went 0 for 1.
