Tanner Eberle's two goals lead Moose Jaw Warriors past Regina Pats 4-3

REGINA - Tanner Eberle scored twice to help the Moose Jaw Warriors beat the Regina Pats 4-3 on Thursday in the Western Hockey League.

Eberle, a Regina product and second cousin of Edmonton Oilers superstar Jordan Eberle, scored both his goals at the end of the second to give the Warriors a 2-0 lead heading into the third period.

Colton McCarthy and Travis Brown also scored for Moose Jaw (13-17-7).

Chandler Stephenson scored twice for Regina (13-21-4). Morgan Klimchuk has a goal as well, while Lane Scheidl helped out with two assists for the Pats.

Thirty seconds into the third Brown added to Moose Jaw's lead to make it 3-0.

Regina then battled back with two goals from Stephenson and one from Klimchuk with goalie Matt Hewitt pulled and just 27 seconds on the clock.

McCarthy’s power-play goal proved to be the eventual winner.

Justin Paulic made 26 saves for the win. Hewitt turned away 21 shots.
