Fowlie scores winner, adds two assists to lead Rockets over Broncos 6-5

KELOWNA, B.C. - Cody Fowlie scored the game-winner and also picked up two assists Wednesday as the Kelowna Rockets defeated the Swift Current Broncos 6-5 in the Western Hockey League.

Zach Franko, Ryan Olsen, J.T. Barnett, Madison Bowey and Dylen McKinlay had the other goals for Kelowna (18-9-2), which trailed 1-0 and 3-2 at the period breaks.

Adam Lowry, with a hat trick, Zac Mackay and Coda Gordon replied for Swift Current (12-15-5).

Lowry's three-goal night included a successful penalty shot early in the second period that made it 2-0. The six-foot-five forward, who opened the scoring just 32 seconds into the game and completed his hat trick on the power play late in the second.

Jordan Cooke made 14 saves to get the win, while Eetu Laurikainen stopped 17 shots for the Broncos, who lost 2-1 in Kamloops on Tuesday.
