BRAMPTON, Ont. - Joel Vienneau made 34 saves for a shutout as the Sudbury Wolves blanked the Brampton Battalion 2-0 on Sunday afternoon in Ontario Hockey League action.

Brody Silk and Nicholas Baptiste scored power-play goals for Sudbury (10-14-3).

Matej Machovsky stopped 27 of 29 shots for Brampton (12-10-5).

Sudbury got on the board 6:14 into the first period when Silk redirected Charlie Dodero's point shot past Machovsky.

The visitors added to their lead at the 1:33 mark of the second when Baptiste poked in a rebound while at the side of the net.

The win for Sudbury came less than 24 hours after letting a late third-period 5-1 lead slip away to the Niagara IceDogs, falling 6-5 in a shootout.

"Definitely a huge win for us after what happened last night," said Silk. "Guys are feeling pretty good."

Brandon Robinson almost brought the home side to within one minutes later but his wristshot from the left wing face-off circle caught the crossbar.

Sudbury went 2-for-5 on the power play while Brampton failed to capitalize on nine opportunities with the man advantage.

Note to readers: This is a corrected story. A previous version had the records for Brampton and Sudbury reversed, and had Brampton going 0-7 on the power play instead of 0-9.
